This weekend I had the pleasure to attend the Grafton Antique Show. Usually the show is located in downtown historic Grafton, but due to some rainy unpredictable weather they held it indoors at a local school. The show was much smaller this year but still had some quality dealers with some cool things to look at. I took a few shots of some of my favorite things that I saw including lots of beautiful mercury glass. Enjoy and I hope you had a good weekend!!

On May 28th I gave birth to a healthy baby boy. After a long labor I finally wound up having a c-section.
For those of you who have children you all know that shear joy of the first time you see your child the emotion that runs through you and the over abundance of love you feel for something that you created and carried for nine months. I never envisioned motherhood so cool. He truly is a blessing in my life!!
Needless to say I am hoping to resume some sort of normal lifestyle in the near future and continue to focus on Antique Therapy. Due to some complications the last few weeks it’s been a tough road and I haven’t been able to go to any yard sales or flea markets or let alone go into the shop to bring in any new items. From here on out I pray that my health continues to get better and better each day!! I will try to post as often as I can and am hoping I won’t loose all of my readers. Until then happy hunting!!

Today while on my way home from my weekly ultrasound and then a quick jaunt to the mall, my husband called me up to tell me that there was a movie being filmed in Southborough. When I got home I googled it to see who was in it and if they were still there filming. I assumed that they were probably done since filming started early this morning, but much to my surprise when we got there they were in full progress at a local church downtown.
The film is called Grown Ups and is staring Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider, Selma Hayek, Chris Rock, and David Spade. My mom and I were lucky enough to get a couple shots of Rob Schneider when he came out to sign some autographs. Amongst the chaos my mom managed to squeeze in and get his autograph. I asked him if he would take a picture of me and the baby and he jokingly said…. ” Oh that’s way to much evidence”. Needless to say I didn’t get the shot but I got a nice one of him as well as a few of the surrounding film crew and scenic church in which they were filming!!

Although this really has nothing to do with antiques I just knew you would all like to share in on all the fun too!!

After a long day shopping at the Brimfield show, needless to say I am a bit tired……But was it worth it you ask? Absolutely!!
The vendor diplays of antiques were exceptional and a feast for the eyes!! Along the weather being a warm 70 degrees, the air was filled with excitement as there were bargains to be found and deals to be made. I will warn you I have about thirty pictures to share with you all, but I know you will be drooling over every ounce of antiquity just as I was!!
To start off the first booth I want to share is from two talented people for which I have had the pleasure to meet at the Holliston show. James Buchanon and friend Cathy Harrison had an wide assortment of French antiques to die for!! He can be reached at 617-834-6761, and Cathy can be reached at 978-777-9776. Let the drooling commence!!

The next set of beautiful pictures is from a dealer that some of you may know of by The other Theresa from Time Worn Interiors at www.cottagegardens-theresa-smith.blogspot.com. I met Theresa through the blogging world and got to meet her today in person. She was so sweet as well as being amazingly talented. Here is her fabulous display!!

These next two dealers are actually friends of mine from Concord MA. Melissa has a great shop called www.nestingonmain.com and Cary is just down the road at Thoreauly Antiques. They always have an amazing display of botanical and garden antiques as well as anything that is stunningly beautiful. It’s always by far my favorite booth, and they are a long time source of inspiration for me as a dealer!! I want to thank them as well for letting my pregnant butt sit for a bit in their lounge chairs!!

I will leave you with these last photos of some other random shots of Brimfield beauty…..Who knows maybe Amy and I will have some fab pics of our own set up of the fall show!! Enjoy and happy hunting!!

Does anyone happen to know what kind of plant this white ferny thing is? I asked the dealer but he wasn’t sure. I would love to put some in the shop….They are just beautiful!!

Today was my first time attending the Brimfield Antique Textiles Show. Let me just say WOW!! What an amazing show filled with antique clothing, textiles and anything else that was old and fabric related. I was only allowed to take a few pictures at the show, but the booths that I did take photos of were some of my favorites so I was content with that.
Lately we have all grown to appreciate antique grain sacks from Europe. This first booth had the most amazing Hungarian sacks and gorgeous furniture covered in them as well along with hand sewn bags. I would have loved to buy one of the bags but right now it just wasn’t in my price range. The dealers name is Stephanie Lloyd and she is based out of upstate New York, she doesn’t have a website but can be reached at 518-753-7652. Here are some shots from her lovely booth. She also sells industrial furniture as well and told me she would be at The Heart of The Mart on Weds. I think I might just have to go check out what else she has on Weds!! Enjoy!!

Another favorite booth here was a dealer from Wiscasset Maine by the name of Sharon Mrozinski. Sharon has an amazing shop called The Marston House. Her website is www.marstonhouse.com. She imports most of her linens from France but has other cool antiques and french soaps mixed into the shop. She is always a pleasure to talk with! Here are a few shots from her booth.
On Weds I will be going to the Brimfield Antique Show!! I am already getting the bug to set up at the Sept show again….We shall see how motherhood fares with me!! Until then stay tuned for more pics on Weds from the rest of the show. I can’t wait!! Happy hunting!!

In the past week I have had a few emails asking me if Amy and I were setting up at the May Brimfield show. Sadly I had to say no we aren’t due to the fact that Amy just had her 3rd baby and I am approaching baby #1. As happy as we both are to be having babies we are a tad bummed that we couldn’t set up at the May show. I am still planning on going next Weds to shop there and see some of my dealer friends, unless of course I go into labor!! My due date isn’t until May 28th but you never know what will happen!! I will be sure to post lots of pictures!!
I would however like to try and do the Sept show providing that we can still get the same space at Shelton’s and god willing that Amy and I have the energy to take on the large task of setting up. I will keep you all posted when we find out!!
On another note as long as I have the energy I am still finding new and interesting things to bring into the shop. I have been trying to go in every week and rearrange and add cool garden objects including these old zinc planters I found at an Estate in Hudson. I found four different containers. Two small ones and two very long zinc pots, as well as a cool primitive stool and an array of assorted pots, transfer-ware, ironstone, a neat old industrial bench, a shabby green french styled mirror, and fabulous old green metal box!! I also added some ferns and other greenery into the mix to give the potting bench some extra flair!!

Here are some pictures so you can get an idea what new items we have in store. If you are planning on going to Brimfield and you have a little extra time feel free to stop on in to The Cider Mill and come into Antique Therapy. We aren’t to far from the show and have plenty of fabulous antiques to suit any home, garden or shop!! Happy hunting!!

This weekend I found a bunch of great garden items for the shop including this great potting bench from the 1950’s as well as some stepping stones, cool frog planter, green garden gates, and a few other fun garden things for your patio!!

Now that I am approaching the last stages of pregnancy I have been nesting like a fein!! The to do list seems to get longer every week. This weekends task was to replant some succulents into my pots on my deck. I love to plant them in vintage pots as well as new ones that I have purchased at yard sales or consignment shops. My deck gets a ton of sun so the succulents thrive out there. I also love the fact that I only need to water them about once a week….low maintenance plants are just my style!! Here a few pictures of the finished product as well as my new pillows that I purchased from Target. Enjoy and I hope your weekend was as fulfilling and productive as mine was!!
