Finally, I have had a small breather so that I can post some pictures of our booth at Brimfield.
First off I wanted to thank all of our fantastic customers who came out to see us! You guys are the ones that make it worth it to do the show! We also got to meet so many new people and were flooded with so many nice comments on our booth display and the antiques we had.
Half of the fun and challenge of Brimfield for Amy and I is to continuously come up with new ideas for creative displays. The advantage and fun to working with Amy is our styles always complement each other. We always say to each other as we are uncovering our treasures it’s like Christmas as we unwrap and show each other what we have been collecting prior to the show. We always want to buy each others things for our own homes! All in all it was a great show, so lets get to the pictures and let them speak for themselves. Here goes………

I hope you liked all the pictures. All of them were taken by me with the exception of the photo of me. It was taken by www.capersofthevintagevixens.blogspot.com.
Of course I would like to say I sold everything, one should be so lucky! If there is anything on here that you just can’t live without you can always email me or contact me through my Facebook page and I can let you know if it is still available.

Thinking about going to this years Brimfield Antique show but don’t want the hassle of driving in on your own?
Well now you have the option of taking a guided bus tour thanks to a new company called Gingham Style. The tour will include a deluxe bus to bring you to and from the show, will provide a breakfast, map of the show and a goodie bag and raffle for fun along with a few other amenities. I think this is a great concept and wish them alot of luck with their new endeavor! For more info about the bus tour you can go to their blog at ginghamstyle.com/gingham/blog/blog.html
On a side note, I have been finding alot of cool treasures for the upcoming Brimfield show. Again we will be in Shelton field in area B-55, Come on down and see us!

Just when I thought I would be doing Brimfield on my own, my friend Amy called me up tell me she wanted to do the show again!! Yippie, the only catch was we then needed a bigger space so I called the field owner to see if she had a bigger better space and sure enough she had one last spot open at Sheltons. So we will now be in area B-55 two spaces down on the same row as we were last year. I am so exited Amy wants to do it again, it wouldn’t have been the same without her!
This weekend I have been finding some great things to bring to the show, so come on by to our booth and see us!

I will still be in Shelton field but have a different space in area M-50. (AKA) near the bathrooms, LOL! I will be doing the show solo but will still have alot of cool antiques to choose from. I have already started buying furniture and many other treasures! I promise I will try and post some sneak peek pictures of a few things I am bringing to the show. I am so exited and hope to see some old faces from last year as well as some brand new ones! Let the insanity begin!

So I have decided to start trying a new venue in selling. Yes I have caved from peer pressure from my fellow dealer friend Sara to try my hand at Ebay. I had tried it a few years back but only sold a few things. Due to a slow season now that Christmas is over I thought this would be a fun new venture without needing to fill an entire space and put in one piece at a time. Don’t worry I will still maintain my space in Concord but have decided to give the Medfield Vintage Thymes a break and focus on less time consuming endeavors. So here it is folks…….. Here we have a great 1903 Woman’s golf trophy plated. It reads South Fields Golf Club Runner Up Womans Club Championship 1903, Won by Mrs. E. T. Brown. I have listed the starting bid at $25.00. If you would like to bid on the trophy over at Ebay the item # is 270694199733. Wish me luck!

As stated by Wikipedia: Balance is a harmonious arrangement or relation of parts or elements within a whole.
Lately it seems my life is a little off balance, not really arranged nor completely whole. I often wonder if it will ever be completely level, or is that just part of life. I am not looking for perfection rather just some sense of stability in who I am as a person and the life I will lead.
Tonight I bought a truly beautiful painting at the auction. After taking some time to look at it I realized It seemed to signify balance, or at least that is how I perceived it. After all isn’t art in the eye of the beholder? All of the men in the painting seem to be trying to keep the woman level. Without them she would fall and her trust in them would falter. It may be the romantic in me but there seems to be alot of love in this painting.
I know for me balancing life between being a mom and working is always a big challenge. I love my son eternally but also strive to fill my brain with creative endeavors. Working in the antiques business has allowed me to do this without a doubt but sometimes it seems it’s not enough. There are so many things I still want to do, so many places yet to explore, and people to explore them with. Hopefully it will fall into place again soon and I will once again be whole.
What gives you balance in your lives?
