Today was my first time attending the Brimfield Antique Textiles Show. Let me just say WOW!! What an amazing show filled with antique clothing, textiles and anything else that was old and fabric related. I was only allowed to take a few pictures at the show, but the booths that I did take photos of were some of my favorites so I was content with that.

Lately we have all grown to appreciate antique grain sacks from Europe. This first booth had the most amazing Hungarian sacks  and gorgeous furniture covered in them as well along with hand sewn bags. I would have loved to buy one of the bags but right now it just wasn’t in my price range. The dealers name is Stephanie Lloyd and she is based out of upstate New York, she doesn’t have a website but can be reached at 518-753-7652. Here are some shots from her lovely booth. She also sells industrial furniture as well and told me she would be at The Heart of The Mart on Weds. I think I might just have to go check out what else she has on Weds!! Enjoy!!

Another favorite booth here was a dealer from Wiscasset Maine by the name of Sharon Mrozinski. Sharon has an amazing shop called The Marston House. Her website is www.marstonhouse.com. She  imports most of her linens from France but has other cool antiques and french soaps mixed into the shop. She is always a pleasure to talk with! Here are a few shots from her booth.

On Weds I will be going to the Brimfield Antique Show!! I am already getting the bug to set up at the Sept show again….We shall see how motherhood fares with me!! Until then stay tuned for more pics on Weds from the rest of the show. I can’t wait!! Happy hunting!!

Hi Keri, the reason your picture doesn’t show up on my blog or at least from what I can figure out is because you don’t have blogger, your blog appears from your website. I’ve noticed that for those that have typepad or wordpad their pics don’t appear either. It’s nothing I control, it’s an auto feature of blogger. Sorry, but I so appreciate you stopping by, Theresa

It looks like you had a wonderful time. The feed sack upholstery and pillows are wonderful. Looking forward to your post from Wednesday’s show.

    Hi Keri,
The first set of sacks look like repros to me. They seem like old sacks that have been printed upon. I say this because the printing is so dark and uniform a sign of new printing techniques. Would love to see them in person to be sure-

Martson House is fabulous. My cousin just rented Sharon’s villa in Italy last week - He said it was fabulous !!

Could you let us know what fields the booths are located - Thanks for the preview anxious to go!! Heading there on Friday!

    xx-Gina
