Moving on

August 2nd, 2009 by Keri

After much debating I have decided to leave the Cider Mill space and continue on to Concord in the fall starting in Sept. Amy and mutually agreed that while we both love the space we are in right now it’s just to big for the two of us to maintain with her having three kids and myself just having my baby. Amy and I continue to be good friends. I will miss sharing a space with her because our styles mesh very well together and she is a great person who I admire and respect not only as a creative lady but as a great mom to her kids!!. We are hoping to possibly do the May Brimfield show. Amy will be moving her space to The White Home Collection in New Hampshire. This place has very cool furniture and cottage styled items for your home. It has become a favorite place of mine to shop as well.

On a separate topic I have been having a hard time finding time to blog. The past few weeks my son has been having a hard time and has developed some food allergies. We are working hard to get him and his belly better so he will get back to the happy little guy that he is!! Right now he isĀ  my first priority!! I know antiques will always be there, they have survived hundreds of years right!!

I will try and post some pictures soon of some new finds that I will be bringing into Concord in the fall. Stay tuned and as always happy hunting!!

I can relate, my 4 yr old son has been allergic to dairy since he was a baby (amongst other things)and we carry an epi pen for him. Hope your son is doing good and feeling better soon!

Good luck to you. Your priorities are in the right place. I have moved back and forth between antique shops and shows, and making time for my kids, for years. You are right - the antiques will be there and it is always fun to get back to them when the time is right!

It sounds like you are adapting to the many changes quite well and putting your family first is always the right way to go.

Good luck finding solutions to the food allergy issues. Downsizing the business right now will eliminate some stress and allow you to be a happier and peaceful mom.

    Best of luck!
