Summer antiquing in Maine
I spent the past week in Maine for our vacation. I have been going to there since I was a child. I wanted to bring my new son up there to show him all the things and places I love about Maine. Despite being a tad hot we had a great week filled with antiquing, going to the beach and just exploring, although my son is only three months he seemed to soak in the atmosphere and really enjoyed just being outside looking at all of the new things to see like the ocean, trees, and the sky. It really brings you back to the basics and lets you be a child again experiencing everything for the first time all over again.
During the week I managed to go to the Monsweag flea market in Wiscasset. The antiques market is held on Weds and the regular flea is during the weekend. Wiscasset is filled with pristine antique shops with many beautiful yet pricey things. I manged to get a few shots of the flea as well as some scenic views of Maine.
Tomorrow I am going into Sterling to move out of my old space and will be moving into Concord next weekend. I am exited to start in Concord but a little overwhelmed with all of the moving. I hope to be posting some new pics when I get the new space set up. Until then enjoy the pics of my trip to Maine!!

I also spent time in Maine last week - my third Maine vacation this summer! Yes, it was HOT - but thoroughly enjoyable.
This time around, I spent most of my time on Mount Desert Island, but also traveled across the state on numerous less known roads, many of them an antique lovers delight!
Old barns and rickety out buildings, filled with treasures from years gone by, were a common site. And, with little overhead cost, these “shop owners” were able to charge less than their in-town counterparts.
Thankfully, my car was already nearly full with my travel gear - so I was saved from opening my wallet too many times? But. on my return trip…

Oh I am so very green with envy. We have friends in Rockport and hope to get up there before the end of September….but it may not happen this year. Love seeing the pictures of Maine and glad you got to enjoy it!

Hi Keri. I adore your business card, I picked one up when I went to Thoreauly Antiques. I love your space and the treasures that I found there were wonderful. I purchased one of your Parisian graphics. Your treasures are lovely.
So happy to have met you in person. I love your blog!

Just stopped back to say, I wrote a French Inspiration post today. I talked about your lovely antiques. I took the illustration that I purchased from you and created some artwork. I put links to your web site and Thoreauly Antiques.
Have a lovely weekend.

Oh Keri, please feel free to copy whatever you would like. I also had a thought, instead of paying me for the print you like, why don’t I trade with you. There was another design just like the one I purchased yesterday, which I would also love.
If you would like to trade or purchase the print, just e-mail me at
karenharveycox@mac.com with your address.
I am so thrilled to have found you. As I browsed through your posts…I love everything.
