I love that darling bird cage, it is what I imagine the bird cage in the novel Breakfast at Tiffany’s looks like.

I just happened across your wonderful blog. I wish I could go to Brimfield.

I am a long time lover of antiques and I am just about to open my very first booth in two weeks. I’m so scared, I don’t know what the heck I am doing.
I don’t know if others will like my things or just think it’s old junk. I don’t know if my prices are too high or to low. How does someone begin? Do I just pick something to specialize in to start or should I try a little of everything?
    Any advice for a beginner?

    Ann Marie,
Thanks for leaving such a nice comment. To answer your question, buy what you love and do alot of research on everything that you buy. I don’t believe that you need to specialize in one particular thing. I like to mix it up a bit and buy items that are different and beautiful. You will find your niche the longer you stay with it. Good luck, and happy hunting!!

Just found your site and I thinks it’s great. Loved your Maine pic’s and the blogging letter…you aptly described my reasons blogging too. Hope you do well at Brimfield…I have considered it for a while…I tend to be on the buyers side, but always in England and France. Sigh.
