Brimfield Dreams
After a eleven hour day of setting up our space I can barely keep my eyes open to write this post. To say that I am tired is an understatement!! So please bear in mind that my writing may be a little off kilter tonight. On the hour drive out to Brimfield my stomach was in knots from exitement!!While I was in the car on the way out my mind was racing about what needed to be done once we got there, how and where we would set up the space, and would we have enough time to set up everything so it would blow everyone’s socks off. After all this is the mother of all antique shows so we wanted to make a great impression. I also thought about the fact that up until a year ago I hadn’t had a clue what I wanted to do for a living, and how cool was it that I was living out a dream of mine to be selling at Brimfield, not only by myself but with my mother and my close friend Amy. Immediately after we pulled into the site, we started to unload our wares. Even before we got the stuff off the truck there were peering curious eyes all around us anxious to seek out our treasures. The funny thing is most of these people ride all around on their bikes from field to field scoping out the goods. By 2:00 we had most of the furniture in place so we could start unwrapping the numerous other accessories. Throughout the day we had many pre -customers come in the booth to check out what we had. With a mix of Grateful Dead and John Mayer as our backdrop we had already set the mood for a pleasurable shopping antique experience. The cutomers really seemed to enjoy it. One even broke out in full fledge dance mode!! Well maybe I am exaggerating a bit, but I got my groove on….!!By the end of the day we were all wiped and decorated out, besides it was getting dark and there was no way we could set up anything else, unless we worked by candlelight!!Now it is time to close my weary eyes and get some much needed rest, so that I am completely conscious tomorrow. After all there will be math involved, and we all know how that goes!!So I bid you farewell, and hope to have good Brimfield dreams about selling everything in the tent!!Come visit us!! We would love to see your smiling faces. Again we are at Shelton field in area B-52, from Tues- Thurs. Wish us lots of luck!! Happy hunting!! and stay tuned for pictures from the weeks events!!

May the junking gods smile upon you and you sell, sell, sell! I’m SHOCKED that you weren’t playing B52s….
Please post lots of photos and a running commentary on how it goes.
One of my friends sells silver, and only shows up for 1 day, sells out, and goes home. If only it were that easy….
