Christmas decor
After a week of pulling my husbands teeth he finally helped me set up the tree. I wound up doing most of the work, but that’s ok because he has been working his tail off at work so he deserves a little break!!
Here a few of my favorite ornaments and Christmas decorations. I have a mix of new and vintage decorations that were passed down either from my family or my husbands. The small red angel I believe was my first ornament. It’s practically and antique itself!! The small white Santa was my great grandmothers. I loved it so much that my mother gave it to me last year. One of the pictures of the other angel I tried to alter a bit with the color. So here is the before and after.
On another note, I had to give my notice at the shop the other day. With the fastly sloping economy and high rent it is just not paying off for me to stay at the shop. I am still debating what my next move will be. It saddens me because I love antiques so much. Like I have said in the past I would love to have my own shop someday, or even possibly open an online shop through the blog and add a shopping website called Shop Antique Therapy. But before I spend any extra cash on getting a website up I need to be sure my husbands job is secure. I still want to continue to do antique shows, especially Brimfield. In fact I did resign up for the May show, but being that I am due in May I don’t think it’s in the cards this year. Who knows though, there is always the Sept show.
I will still continue to post on the blog as much as possible, lately I have been struggling with ideas to even put up. Believe me when I say I am not done with the antique business yet. I am just not to sure on what my next move will be. I will keep you all posted when I actually figure it out. Like I had previously stated if anyone ever sees something on my site that they would like to purchase you can either leave me a comment or e-mail me and let me know what the item is and I can give you a fair price. Until then I hope everyone has a great holiday!!
