My new shop space

February 10th, 2009 by Keri

This week I have been busy getting ready to move into my new space in Sterling at Oh My Gosh Antiques with my friend Amy. Our space is so big that I am afraid I won’t have enough stuff to fill it with.  In the two other spaces I have rented I haven’t had that problem, actually it’s just the opposite…..lack of space!! Needless to say I am so exited to have some breathing room and to let my creativity shine in decorating and creating a beautiful room. We even have our own check out counter!!  I will post pictures once everything is all set up.

In the meantime I am also getting the nursery ready for action!! Two more coats of paint for the walls then it’s on to the furniture. Even though I have had help from my husband and mom my pregnant body is paying for all the work. My sciatic nerve has started to act up so I am thinking a visit to the chiropractor is in my near future!!

Stay tuned for pics of the shop and nursery. Amy and I are shooting for the third weekend in March to have our open house at the shop. By the way we will each be keeping our shop names Antique Therapy and Thistlebees. We just figured it would be easier because we both have our own blogs and we both love our names!!  In the meantime we hope that if you live in Mass you will be able to attend the open house, we will have refreshments and snacks……I know I can’t wait!!! Until then happy hunting and I will keep you all in loop as everything progresses.

Fun news! Be careful - the last time I pushed and shoved things around in my space at the antique shop, I went into premature labor! That was 14 years ago but my husband and I still talk about it - I spent the next three months on bed rest! Can’t wait to see pictures of your space. Best wishes!

Congrat’s on the larger space…I tripled my store size last spring and just love it. Hope that it goes smooth for you and the next time I’m down your way I’ll stop by.

Good luck with your new space! I recently joined forces with a group of women who hold a twice yearly barn sale and I’m so excited. It’s something I’ve been dreaming about for a long time and it’s now a reality! I’ll definitely be back to your blog! (I’m sure you have a lot you can teach me!)
